GMT (Geometry Mapping Tool) is a web tool for teaching and learning Descriptive Geometry, combining interactive 3D, precise 2D construction and worksheets.
Is GMT free?▾
You can try the Sandbox for free. Some features—such as saving worksheets or sharing—may require an account or subscription.
Which browsers/devices are supported?▾
GMT runs in modern desktop browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox). It also works on tablets, though we recommend a keyboard + mouse for best precision.
Which methods are supported?▾
GMT focuses on orthographic projections (Monge method) with tools to create, fold and visualize geometry across 2D/3D views.
How do I switch language?▾
Use the language selector in the navbar to switch between English and Portuguese.
Where can I find documentation?▾
See the User Manual in the Material menu. It covers concepts, tools and step‑by‑step guidance. You can also find Tutorials in the YouTube channel.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?▾
For Premium and Classroom accounts, the tool has a built-in bug reporting system. Otherwise, use the contact links (LinkedIn/Email) to report bugs or request features. Please include steps and screenshots if possible.
What is the Sandbox?▾
A free space to try the tools—draw projections, fold planes and explore 3D—without creating an account.
Do I need an account?▾
An account is optional to explore, but required to save worksheets, organize work and share with others.
What are Worksheets?▾
Named pages where you organize exercises, topics and classes. With a Premium or Classroom account, worksheets persist and can be shared.
What is Precise Mode?▾
A helper that lets you round inputs for accurate constructions (e.g., to units/decimals/centesimals).
Can I use GMT in the classroom?▾
Yes. GMT was designed with teachers in mind—demonstrate steps quickly, share sheets and help students practice spatial visualization.
